Pep Rally on the Square in Jefferson is tonight from Greene County Activities Booster Club. The event coincides with the weekly Greene County Farmer’s Market. Pep Rally on the Square will be held on the Mahanay Tower Plaza and South Courthouse steps.

At 6 until 6:30 p.m. is the Pep Rally Kickoff with games and other activities for the kids. Activities will include games with a football, volleyball, cross-country races, plus a Rams’ tattoo station from the band & color guard.

Cross-Country, swimming, volleyball, and football athletes and coaches will be introduced to the crowd.

The Rams open the cross-country season on Thursday in Ames for the Gilbert Coed Invitational held on the Iowa State University course. Greene County volleyball hosts Perry and Ft. Dodge St. Edmond on Thursday inside the middle school gym in Jefferson. The football season starts on Friday night with Greene County visiting Perry’s Dewey Field to take on the Blue Jays in the annual Battle for the Cowbell.
