GCC-Spring/SummerThe Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Agency Coordinator Bob Kempf discussed three grant opportunities with the Board for a generator project at the County’s Public Health office. He says the cost estimate is $69,000 for the generator itself with additional costs for making improvements to the building to bring it up to code. Matching funds would be required on all grants, ranging from $6,000-17,000. The Board approved supporting the grant applications.

The Board also discussed employee hours at the County Transfer Station and a Medicare Commercial Repayment Center check. No formal action was taken by the Board on either item. The Board did approve an abatement of delinquent property taxes for two properties in Guthrie Center and a resolution of financial institutions as depositories.
