A reminder: any nonprofit organizations in Dallas County have until this Saturday to submit their proposals for the Bock Family Foundation’s fall grant cycle.
Grants are given out twice a year, in the spring and fall, and they go to support a wide assortment of projects that benefit the people of Dallas County. Groups considered for grants include nonprofits operated for religious, charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes. Each project that is funded must be located in Dallas County, and preference for grants is given to the four northwest townships. Those selected to receive funds will be notified in October, and there will be a formal presentation later that month.
Since the Foundation’s founding in 2002, more than $1.7 million in Bock Family grants have been distributed to local causes. At the spring presentation in April, nearly $64,000 was awarded in 34 different grants. Applications can be sent to 1401 Willis Avenue, PO Box 487, Perry, IA, 50220. Anyone with questions can contact Scott Finneseth, Executive Director of the Foundation, at 515-465-4641, or at lawyers@fdplawfirm.com.
