The Dallas County Board of Supervisors convened Tuesday morning in regular session.
The meeting got started with the presentation of certificates of appreciation. Seven County employees were recognized for their years of service, ranging from five years all the way to 25 years for Jeff Ockerman of the Secondary Roads Department. Following that, the Board listened to a presentation about the planned trail improvement project from the Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce. Representatives gave an overview of their plans, and requested the County help them in installing and paying for electrical services for a portion of the trail. No action was taken, but the request will be considered at a later meeting.
Next, the Board approved a funding request from Homecare Services, which was discussed at last week’s meeting. The County will provide an additional $35,000 to fill in gaps of coverage, which will be paid for out of the Supervisors’ special projects account. Following that, the Board held more discussion on the Healthcare Coalition service coordinator position for area 1A. County Attorney Wayne Reisetter was seeking guidance for drafting a 28E agreement for the services, and following the conversation he felt he had what he needed. The meeting concluded with a closed session to discuss purchase of particular real estate.
