Tuesday, August 28th

3:58am: The Sheriff, deputies, Greene County EMS, Jefferson Fire, and the Jefferson Police Department investigated a single vehicle accident on 220th Street near L Avenue. A 2004 Peterbilt tractor and trailer hauling scrap metal lost control and slid on it side on 220th Street dumping the scrap metal on the roadway. Terry Smith the driver 56 of Lake View will be cited for failure to maintain control. The semi was eastbound on 220th Street. The driver was transported to the Greene County Medical Center by Greene County EMS.

4:31am: The Sheriff, Jefferson Police Department, Jefferson Fire, Grand Junction Fire, and Greene County EMS responded to a fire at Power Lift in Jefferson. There was extensive damage from the fire.

9:17am: Steven Jones 29 of Bouton was booked into the jail for sexual abuse 3rd degree.

3:34pm: The Sheriff investigated a burglary in the 200 block of South 7th Street, Grand Junction.

4:30pm: A deputy investigated a theft in the 500 block of West Hager Street, Grand Junction.

5:05pm: Adam Winger 38 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for a parole violation.

7:55pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 500 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.

8:16pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check in the 1900 block of Locust Street, Scranton.

10:17pm: A deputy assisted a motorist on U Avenue near 210th Street.

Wednesday, August 29th

1:30am: A deputy investigated a domestic in the 200 block of South 7th Street, Grand Junction.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
