The public is invited to a special concert to be performed on the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower in Jefferson Saturday.

The Bell Tower Community Foundation and the Thomas Jefferson Gardens are teaming up to bring in Iowa State University Carillonneur Dr. Tin-Shi Tam and five of her students for a concert at 11am. Dr. Tam is a Hong Kong native and is the Cownie Professor of Music and the Chair of the Keyboard Division of the University Carillonneur. She has her doctorate degree in musical arts in organ from the University of Michigan. Dr. Tam is also a jury of the Associate Carillonneur Examination Committee of The Guild of Carillonneurs in North America.

Following the concert will be a light lunch at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens Education and Welcome Center. There will also be a meet and greet time with Dr. Tam and her students. The event is free and open to the public.
