Monday, August 27th
1:45am: An officer checked on a Business Alarm Activation at 400 American Ave. A key holder arrived and checked the business, which was fine.
4:55am: Regency park advised of a subject peering into their windows at 100 Ram Drive. The officer is investigating.
11:38am: Colby Aspengren reported a Criminal Mischief occurring to his vehicle at 100 Ram Drive. His 2001 Chevrolet S-10 was keyed in the parking lot. The damage estimate is $1553.64. The school is checking parking lot video for the reported event. The investigation continues.
1:13pm: City workers turned over garbage that had been dumped at the City Tree Waste Site. The garbage contained names and the officer is working to contact those subjects.
1:16pm: Officers were advised of a semi with a Wide Load attempting to get through the road construction of Elm Street. Officers assisted the driver with an alternative route.
2:52pm: An officer assisted Tri County Lumber with a reported harassment issue with a former employee.
5:36pm: Johanna Gustoff reported an Abandoned Bicycle at 802 West Monroe Street. The officer placed the bike in Impound.
Tuesday, August 28th
4:01am: An officer assisted the Greene County Sheriff’s Office by providing Traffic Control at an auto accident two miles west of Jefferson on 220th Street.
4:29am: A Jefferson Officer assisted the Jefferson Fire Department with a structure fire at 900 Hwy. 30 East. The State Fire Marshall is investigating the factory fire, which caused an estimated one million dollars in damages to the facility. The fire is not believed to be suspicious.
7:43am: Doug Meinecke reported his employees were receiving strange phone calls while working at the Twinn Shoppe, located at 111 West Lincoln Way Street. Meinecke requested extra patrol in the area and business close.
11:45am: Stott Aerial spoke with an officer about concerns of harassment from an ex-employee.
11:50am: Conner Groves brought a stray dog to the LEC she had captured at Daubendiek Park. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding facility.
12:52pm: Autumn Dolph requested officers at 304 North Vine Street for a Civil Property Issue occurring between her and her estranged husband. The officers mediated the property exchange.
1:23pm: Officers checked on a Residential Fire Alarm sounding at 400 West State Street. All was fine at the residence.
4:31pm: Kirby Gathercoal reported a careless Driver heading north into Jefferson on Hwy. 4. Officers did not locate the vehicle.
4:40pm: Officers arrested Adam Michael Winger, 38 of Jefferson at 103 Sunset Place on an outstanding Parole Violation Arrest Warrant.
5:11pm: Karla Holman requested an officer to conduct a Welfare Check on an elderly male sitting in a vehicle in the 200 Block of North Elm Street. The vehicle left before the officer arrived.
5:59pm: A juvenile male called and requested an officer at 107 West Madison Street for a disagreement between he and his mother. The officer arrived and spoke to the youth about the importance of following direction from his mother and proper reasons to call police for assistance.
