Perry Lutheran Homes 2

Tomorrow promises to be a busy day at the Perry Lutheran Homes, as they are hosting two free educational events throughout the day.

The first is the next in their Aging Well lunch and learn series. This month’s topic is: “How to Make the Most of Your Visits with Loved Ones in Care Communities.” Attendees will learn about ways they can prepare themselves for visits to loved ones in care facilities, as well as get ideas for activities during those days. The featured speaker will be PLH Chief Care Officer Deb Koelln, who has worked in care communities for over 33 years. The program will run tomorrow from noon-1 p.m. at the Willis Avenue Campus. Registration is requested and can be done by reaching out to Koelln.

The other monthly event happening tomorrow with Perry Lutheran Homes is the Alzheimer’s Support Group. Attendees will find support, information, connection, and healing alongside others experiencing similar circumstances. They will also learn techniques to enrich their loved one’s life, tips on communication, and more. The group will meet at 6 p.m. tomorrow in the brick house next door to the PLH Willis Avenue campus. This program will also be led by Koelln. It’s free to attend, and no registration is necessary.

For more information about either event, or to register for the lunch and learn, call or email Koelln at 515-465-5342 or info@perrylutheranhome.org.
