Saturday was just the second playing date of the 2018 high school volleyball season for the Greene County Rams. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s team was in Lake City for the South Central Calhoun Invitational.

The Rams lost to the host Titans by identical scores of 10-21, 10-21. Greene County won two of three from Audubon, 11-21, 21-15, 15-13, but fell in two sets to IKM-Manning 23-25, 14-21, and in two vs. Pocahontas Area by scores of 10-21, 17-21.

That put the Rams at 2-4 in matches for the season and 5-9 in sets. They’ll open Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play on Thursday, Sept. 6 vs. South Hamilton (Jewell) in the middle school gym in Jefferson.
