The Guthrie Center City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The Council will hear a presentation from the City’s Park Board and MSA Professional Services on continued improvements at Mitchell Park. The first phase of the project was completed with resurfacing of the basketball and tennis courts. The Council will specifically review possible improvements to the pool’s bathhouse and restrooms.

The Council will also consider the first readings to amend two ordinances. The first would amend provisions to cigarette and tobacco permits while the second would amend provisions pertaining to alcoholic beverage control. They will also seek formal action on an accessory building permit.

The meeting begins at 6:30pm at Guthrie Center City Hall. There will also be a joint meeting tomorrow with the City’s Utility Board to discuss liability insurance.
