The paving of Highway 169 between Ogden and Highway 141 continues to progress, and more intersections should be open soon.
According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, construction crews recently made it as far north as the intersection of 270th Street, Boone County Road E-57. As the pavement has dried, the DOT has also opened up intersections along the highway. Recently there’s been several days straight of rain, which has considerably delayed the project. However, with mostly dry weather expected over the next week, contractors Manatt’s Construction believes they will make considerable progress.
The DOT expects paving to be finished with five or six good days of weather, which will be followed by several weeks of work on the shoulder. The hope is the highway will be completely reopened by early October. To learn more about this and other current DOT road projects, click the link below.
