Work continues to progress on two state highways in Greene County.

Department of Transportation Jefferson Construction Resident Engineer Jenny Hoskins tells Raccoon Valley Radio the asphalt overlay project on Highway 144 from Grand Junction to Perry is nearly complete. The contractor, InRoads, is applying asphalt south of Rippey and is installing rock on the shoulders and driveways to match it to the roadway.

Once that project is complete, Hoskins notes InRoads will send their asphalt crews to Highway 4 to resurface the road from Lincoln Way to Highway 30 in Jefferson. She anticipates that part of the the project to begin in early October, pending any further weather delays.
