Fred Hubbell Event

Election Day 2018 is inching closer, and one of the races currently in the national spotlight is for Governor of Iowa. One of the candidates vying for the office will be visiting Perry this weekend.

Democrat Fred Hubbell will be visiting Perry for the second time this year, and the first since winning the nomination in the June primary election. He will be at the Perry Golf and Country Club this Saturday from 5:15-6:15 p.m. for a public meet and greet event. The free event is being hosted by the Perry Area Democrats, and the community is invited to ask Hubbell questions and here what he has to say ahead of the November general election. The Perry Golf and Country Club is located at 352 330th Street, just north of town. Hubbell is running against incumbent Republican Kim Reynolds, as well as Libertarian Jake Porter, in the gubernatorial race.

Additionally, the Perry Area Democrats recently moved into a new office in the downtown area, and they invite the public to a Grand Opening event on Wednesday, September 26th from 3-6 p.m. The office is located at 1220 Willis Avenue, and there will be several local Democratic candidates in attendance. Anyone with questions about either event can contact Monica Peitz at 515-465-9882.
