School districts across Iowa and beyond are hoping to benefit from a regional contest with a generous award to the winner. West Central Valley, Panorama, and Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center are all eligible to receive $25,000 from UnityPoint Health’s (UPH) “Imagine the Amazing Back-to-School Contest.”
The contest is open to all k-12 non-profit public and private schools in Iowa’s 99 counties, as well as 26 total counties in Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Missouri. The general public can vote for their favorite school on the contest’s website from now until the end of the month. The school with the most votes will receive $25,000 while the ten runner-up schools will each receive $1,000. The award must be best used in a way that aligns with UPH’s mission to improve the health of the people and communities they serve.
Panorama has also advanced to the Elite Eight of another health-based school contest. The district has advanced to the quarterfinals of Iowa’s Healthiest State Mascot Challenge. After receiving more votes than Indian Hills Junior High School, the Panthers are up against Boone High School. The winner will receive $1,000.
