Off of their first marching band performance of the year at the Pufferbilly Days Parade in Boone, the Greene County High School Marching Band will be participating tomorrow in the Carroll Band Day event.
Director Wes Anderson says the 52-member band also includes 16 in the drumline and nine students in color guard. He points out that they will be marching and also performing in the field show portion as well. This year’s show theme is “Water.” Anderson says they will be playing selections that include: “Smoke on the Water,” “We Know the Way” from Disney’s “Moana” and the theme song from “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
The band will also perform in a new event, with a Halloween concert on October 25th at the middle school gym. The high school concert band will play Halloween-themed music, along with the middle school band, as part of the festivities centering around Trick-or-Treat Around the Square.
