The unbeaten (5-0) and top 10 ranked Greene County High School football team hits the road for the fourth time in six games when they face Kuemper Catholic (2-3) at newly refurbished Carroll Athletic Field tonight. Both teams handily won their district openers last Friday night with the Knights getting a 45-14 road win in Atlantic, and the Rams cruising 62-0 over Shenandoah at Linduska Field.

Kuemper Catholic had its best offensive night of the season last week, rolling up well over 400 yards of offense. The Rams average well over 400 yards of offense, as well as 45 points per game, while allowing less than five points per contest. The Knights average 24 points and give up an average of 23. Kuemper has played the tougher schedule through the first five weeks with their opponents combing for a 15-10 mark, while the five Greene County opponents are just 4-21, and three of the five are winless.

The Rams are one of just four unbeaten teams in Class 2A. They are ranked anywhere from sixth to eighth, depending on the poll. Greene County currently sits fourth in Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) in 2A. RPI is the new method used by the Iowa High School Athletic Association to determine at-large playoff qualifiers that do not win their district.

Coverage tonight on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com begins at 6 p.m. with kickoff at 7 p.m.
