Michael Mackensie Taylor

A Panora man charged with kidnapping recently changed his plea to guilty.

According to court documents, 35-year-old Michael Mackensie Taylor has pled guilty to amended charges for an alleged kidnapping incident that took place on March 8th. Court documents show that Taylor pled guilty to Class C Felonies for third degree kidnapping, willful injury resulting in bodily injury, and assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and causing bodily injury other than a serious injury.

According to the criminal complaint report, Taylor got into an argument with the female victim over a text message. Taylor allegedly grabbed the cell phone and choked her until the woman passed out. He then forced her into a timber area where he assaulted her. Afterwards, the victim was able to escape and ran to a Guthrie County Deputy’s patrol vehicle.

Taylor was originally charged with felonies for first degree kidnapping, third degree sexual abuse, and three misdemeanors. Taylor’s sentence hearing is scheduled for November 13th. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
