Applications are now being accepted for the 2019 grants through Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation.

The non-profit gaming license holder for Wild Rose Casino in Jefferson gave away $1.2 million in grants earlier this year. Since its inception three years ago, GGCGC has awarded over $3.5 million to various projects and organizations. Applications are now being accepted for the next round of grant opportunities. One of the main requirements of the application is that projects must be over $35,000. Those under that threshold must be directed to the Greene County Community Foundation. Applications are due by February 14, 2019.

Some of the competitive grants that were funded earlier this year include: a trail in Paton from Main Street to John Deere, a new gym floor of the Greene County Community and several others. Grow Greene last spring also awarded funds to each municipality in the county and Paton-Churdan School. Additionally, they pledged $4.5 million to build the performing arts center and athletic facilities of the new Greene County High School.
