The Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center School Boards held a joint meeting Wednesday.

The boards met with Grundmeyer Leader Services to finalize the timeline for hiring a replacement for retiring Superintendent Steve Smith. A community survey will be distributed on October 24th for residents to give their input on the superintendent search through November 7th. The finalists are expected to be announced this January with final interviews conducted on January 23rd.

The Guthrie Center School Board then held their regular meeting. The board discussed a 28E agreement with Adair-Casey to share media specialist Megan Farnsworth. Guthrie Center’s media specialist Christy Chance is currently being mentored by Farnsworth as she is working towards getting her certification. The board also discussed this year’s certified enrollment numbers which show a slight increase for the district according to Guthrie Center School Board President Wes Policky. The board’s next regular meeting is on Monday, November 19th.
