The top team in Class 3A Iowa High School Football is the final opponent for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers in 2018. The Tigers are making their second trip to the western border this month, stopping in Council Bluffs this time around for a Class 3A District 9 contest versus the Lewis Central Titans. The Titans have been Radio Iowa’s No. 1 since the start of the season, and have multiple Division 1 football athletes on their squad. Highlighting the Titans is quarterback Max Duggan, a four-year starter under center whose among the Elite 11 quarterbacks in the Class of 2019. Duggan has verbally committed to Texas Christian University, turning down offers to play for Ohio State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Nebraska, Iowa, and Iowa State. Despite the hype, ADM head football coach Garrison Carter isn’t afraid to play the top-ranked Titans. “It’s not the first time in my career that I’ve gone and played a No. 1 team in the state,” Carter said, “I’ve also been on the part where we were ranked No. 1 at times. At the end of the day, you still have to line up and play the game. I know that’s coach speak, but it’s true. We’ll see what happens when the clock hits zero tonight.”

ADM’s defensive play has been a considerable part of their turnaround in 2018. The Tigers have allowed 15.1 points per game so far this season with only two teams scoring 20 or more points. Lewis Central has scored at least 42 points in all eight games this season while allowing 14 points or fewer. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will provide live play by play coverage of the game on True Country K 107.9, raccoonvalleyradio.com, and the KKRF mobile app. The Veteran Powersports & Equipment Pregame Show starts our live coverage at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff set for 7 p.m. from Titan Stadium in Council Bluffs.
