The Perry football team has certainly had their opportunities. Perry will get one final crack to pick up their first win of the season when they travel to Humboldt tonight for a 7:30 game with the Wildcats. Perry will look to bounce back from yet another heartbreaking loss to Boone last week 35-28. Perry led for much of the football game but special teams mistakes along with 6 turnovers proved to be too much to overcome.
“It really just comes down to execution,” stated head coach Matt Hardy. “We had six turnovers and still nearly won the game. I thought our offense played really well but we just have to figure out a way to finish football games in the fourth quarter. We get one more chance tonight.”
Perry has played hard all season but just can’t figure out the final period. Perry has lost several possession games this year and will try to stop a Humboldt offense that likes to run out of the I-formation.
You can listen to the game tonight at 7:30 on KDLS.
