The Dallas County Democratic Party is hosting an event this Monday that will highlight all the female candidates on the ballot for the midterm general election.

The “Women on the Ballot” event will be held Monday at the Adel Raccoon Valley Bank Community House from 6-8 p.m. The event is an opportunity for the public to meet each of the candidates, and though donations aren’t required they will be accepted. Those in attendance will include: Cindy Axne, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in District 3; Rita Hart, who is the running mate for gubernatorial candidate Fred Hubbell; Secretary of State candidate Deidre DeJear; Breanna Morman and Pat Stalter, the Democratic candidates for districts 1 and 3, respectively, on the Dallas County Board of Supervisors; and Julie Stewart, who is running for Dallas County Treasurer.

Also remember: you can hear the local candidates from each party for all of the contested offices in Dallas County, during the Raccoon Valley Radio special election program this Wednesday at 6 p.m. on AM 1310, FM 99.7 KDLS.
