The annual Perry Fire Department Haunted Barn got kicked off yesterday and it continues tonight, but first there will be a kid-friendly experience this afternoon.
Cub Scout Pack 127 will be taking over the Haunted Barn today from noon – 3 p.m. Fire Chief Chris Hinds says the scouts will operate a less-intense version of the attraction, though he promises it will still be fun and thrilling for attendees. The cost for this matinee event will be the same as the evening, with tickets being $5 per person, and all the proceeds will go directly to Pack 127. Hinds says the Perry Firefighter’s Association was more than happy to allow the scouts the use of their Haunted Barn, but he also encourages people to check out the main event which starts at 7 p.m. tonight.
The Haunted Barn will run next weekend on Friday and Saturday as well, and it will be offered one final time on October 30th for Beggar’s Night. All proceeds from the evening attraction benefit the Perry Firefighter’s Association, to go towards the purchase of a new battery-powered Jaws of Life.
