Great Great Great Grands

The Perry Hometown Heritage “Becoming American” film series is continuing through November, though the next event doesn’t involve a documentary viewing.

“Our Great Great Great Grands” is an exhibit opening next week at the Carnegie Library Museum to accompany the program, though it gets started today with some community involvement. Karol Crosbie, Museum Librarian and Events Coordinator for Hometown Heritage, is organizing the exhibit, and today at 2 p.m. she’s looking for pictures and stories people have of their ancestors who came to America. Crosbie will take a photo of participants with their relative’s photo, which will be displayed at the museum.

The exhibit will then run from October 24th through November 14th. At the conclusion of the program, everyone will receive a free copy of their picture. For more information on participating in “Our Great Great Great Grands,” reach out to Crosbie by email at karol@fcctrust.org or phone at 515-465-7713.
