The Adel City Council will convene Monday evening in regular session.

The first part of the meeting will be devoted to five public hearings, each of which deal with the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost for an upcoming City project. The projects include: the Bryan and Rapids Street water main replacement; the new raw water transmission main; the City water utility improvements phase 1, part B, sections 2 and 3; and the east annex sanitary utility improvements bid packages for the lift station and the force main. The Council will then consider resolutions related to each of the hearings during new business.

Also during new business, they will discuss the construction contract and bond for the 2018 street resurfacing project, which was discussed at their previous meeting. They will then consider five total resolutions related to the $16 million in water revenue capital loan notes for water projects, as well as four resolutions for the $6 million for sewer projects. Finally, the Council will approve a legal services agreement with Ahlers and Cooney for the new wastewater treatment plant project, as well as a resolution authorizing the emergency replacement of the Adel City Hall roof.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Council Chambers at Adel City Hall.
