Dallas Supervisors 8-7

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session.

The meeting will begin with the Board awarding certificates of appreciation to eight County employees for their years of service, ranging from 5-15 years. After that, they will have discussion with Waste Management regarding the recycling tonnage increase. At 9:30 a.m., the Board will hold a public hearing regarding a storm sewer easement under the Raccoon River Valley Trail, which was continued from a previous meeting. They will also set time and date for three public hearings on topics including: consideration of bids, form of contract, plans, and specifications for the courthouse renovation project; a temporary construction easement on the RRVT for Tyson Foods; and a budget amendment for the 2019 fiscal year.

Other items on the agenda include: a courthouse roof repair proposal; abatement of mobile home taxes; a property tax suspension; review of plans and specs for the Auditor’s Office parking lot project; possible discussion on the service coordinator position for area 1A of the Healthcare Coalition; and a Human Resources Department workshop. Finally, the Board will enter into an exempt session to conduct negotiations strategy. The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Adel.
