This week, Perry Lutheran Homes will be offering their inaugural Fall Tour of Homes and Wine Walk, and the public is invited to take part in the free event.
PLH Director of Marketing Mollie Clark says there are nine residents in the Spring Valley Campus who have graciously offered to open their homes this Thursday from 4-6 p.m. She explains how the idea for the event came about. “It’s one of those things where people enjoy having visitors in their home, and when you move into an assisted living community you know it’s much the same that you still enjoy that company. And so what better way to make that happen (than) to invite the community in and hang out with our tenants, because they’re still part of the community! They’re really excited, and to add to that, some wine and some cheese and some great music.”
The event will include a wide variety of cheese selections, a complimentary wine tasting with the Cellar at White Oak, and live music. RSVP’s are encouraged, and can be made by reaching out to Maureen Haglund at Spring Valley by phone at 515-465-7500, or by email at info@perrylutheranhome.org.
