The Greene County High School football team is still playing in the postseason, but it’s not too early to put Thursday, Nov. 8 on the calendar. That’s the date of the Winter Pep Rally for the communities in the Greene County School District, sponsored by the Greene County Activities Booster Club (GCABC). The event will be held in the middle school gym in Jefferson with games run by various winter activities groups from 6-6:30 p.m. From 6:30-7:30 p.m., the cheerleaders and band will perform, the winter sports athletes and coaches, and others involved in winter activities at the high school will be introduced.

Groups featured will be boys’ basketball, girls’ basketball, wrestling, basketball and wrestling cheerleaders, boys’ swimming, concert and jazz band, jazz choir, large group speech, and Special Olympics.

The public is encouraged to attend.
