For a second straight season, West Central Valley senior quarterback Carson Wadle closed the regular season as the top passer in his district. Wadle ended his high school football career Friday with a division-best 1,242 passing yards in nine regular season games, throwing 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Eleven of his 12 touchdown passes went to fellow senior Cole Arnburg. Van Meter junior Anthony Potthoff is the only signal caller in the district with more touchdowns than Wadle, scoring 16 times through the air. All of Wadle’s passing numbers dipped from his junior season, attempting 77 few throws in 2018. He recorded 1,886 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions last fall. Wadle is interested in playing football in college. He shared with Raccoon Valley Radio during the preseason that he’s already received offers to play football from Upper Iowa University, Simpon College, and Wayne State College in Nebraska.
