The newest high school wrestling season in Iowa is still roughly a month away, but the Iowa High School Athletic Association has already released postseason assignments for all schools. The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers wrestling program found out this week that they’ll host the district tournament on Saturday, February 9. The top two wrestlers in each weight class from the North Polk and Webster City sectional tournaments will come to Adel for a chance to wrestle for a spot in the state tournament the following week. ADM is apart of the North Polk sectional tournament on Saturday, February 2, squaring off against wrestlers from Ballard, North Polk, Saydel, Van Meter-Earlham, and Woodward-Granger. The Webster City sectional will feature wrestlers from Gilbert, Nevada, Perry, Roland Story, Webster City, and West Marshall. The 2019 Iowa State High School Wrestling tournament takes place February 14 through the 16th at Wells Fargo Arena in downtown Des Moines. The 2018-19 ADM varsity wrestling season begins Thursday, November 29, as the Tigers grapple in a triangular versus North Polk and Ballard in Huxley.
