The Jefferson Rotary Club is gearing up for their 20th Annual Auction and Dinner event.
It will be held on Friday, November 9th at the Greene Room events center of Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson. The event includes a prime rib or chicken buffet dinner, along with desserts and beverages, plus free complimentary wine at each table. During the social time, there will be a variety of games and silent auction items to bid on. Auction Chair Joel Williams describes one of the new games, made popular by the game show “The Price is Right.”
“This year we’re going to have ‘Plinko’ as a game. Basically, we give $20 and you’re guaranteed to win $20 or more in gift certificates back. So it should be a fun and entertaining game to play.”
Williams notes there will also be cash raffles and a hog raffle as well. The evening will wrap up with the live auction. Williams says there are several “big ticket” items including: an African safari photo trip, a week stay at a condo in Maui and a Bahama trip. “The whole reason we do this is so we can just give back to the charities within the community. And the majority of the money does go right back here to the Jefferson community and what doesn’t actually goes to help eradicate polio through Rotary International.”
The event starts at 5:30pm with a social time. The meal will be served at 6:30, with the auction to follow. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased by any Rotarian or by clicking the link below.
