New information has been released on a single vehicle wreck that occurred on Interstate 80 near Stuart Thursday.

According to the Iowa State Patrol 70-year-old Joan Frances Galloro of Cedar Rapids was driving a Chevy Impala westbound near mile marker 92 in the left lane when a mechanical failure caused her to go off the roadway and strike the high tension cable barrier in the median. Three posts were taken out, and the car came to rest on the south shoulder of the westbound lanes. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued. About $800 of damage to the car was estimated. Stuart Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
