Central College (Pella) has three former Greene County High School wrestlers on its 2018-19 team. The trio of Jordan Challen (157), Jeremy Scheuermann (174), and Hunter Ruth (285) all wrestled last Saturday in Illinois at the Millikin College Open.

Scheuermann and Challen are both seniors and Ruth  is a sophomore. Scheuermann placed third among 18 wrestlers, with Challen fourth among 15. Ruth was in a 25 person weight class and did not place among the leaders.

Scheuermann went 4-1 on Saturday and included in the victories were a fall and three decisions. Challen went 3-2 on the day with two falls and a major decision accounting for his wins. Ruth was 2-2 with a pair of decisions.

The Dutch open the dual meet season Thursday night in Pella by hosting Coe College (Cedar Rapids).
