Today is Thanksgiving, so here’s a reminder of the closures around Dallas County for today and tomorrow.

All Perry City offices, the Water Works, the McCreary Community Building, and the Perry Public Library are closed through Friday for the holiday. Also, there will be no residential garbage pick up today or tomorrow. If you missed the Wednesday pick up, you’ll have to wait until next week. In Adel, all City offices and the Public Library are closed today and tomorrow. Garbage and yard waste services are delayed by one day. Additionally, all Dallas County offices, including the courthouse, driver’s license station, and Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed both days for Thanksgiving.

Finally, all post offices and banking institutions in cities throughout the County are closed today, though they will reopen tomorrow unless otherwise specified.
