Santa Claus will be borrowing a fire truck to greet residents around Stuart tomorrow, and families are invited to visit him and partake in other activities at the Stuart Fire Station.
The Stuart Fire Auxiliary is hosting this inaugural Santa event, and Auxiliary President Ronnie Henderson says this event is a way to give back to the community that helps support the local emergency agencies, “All four of our departments: Stuart Fire Department, Stuart Fire Auxiliary, Stuart Rescue unit, and Stuart Police Department have teamed together and we are basically going to have a ‘Thank you’ for our community. All year we ask to give, to help out when they can, and this is going to be our way of saying thank you for your support.”
Kids will get to have their picture taken with Santa and receive a goodie bag. Participants can also decorate cookies and drink hot cocoa with the police department, and the auxiliary will help wrap your Small Business Saturday purchases for free. The auxiliary will also serve hot dogs, chips, and a drink while supplies last. This event is free to the public, and lasts from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Stuart Fire Station.
