A Guthrie Center house is considered a total loss after a fire occurred Tuesday.

Agencies were called at about 1:47 p.m. to respond to a house engulfed in flames at 2514 Highway 25. No one was inside the residence of Jim and Brenda Wickland at the time of the fire, and the cause of the fire has not been determined, according to Guthrie Center Fire Chief Dave Embleton. Guthrie Center Fire Department, Panora Fire Department, Panora Emergency Medical Services, and the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
