The 2018-19 high school basketball seasons begin tonight for the Greene County Rams by hosting Ogden in a non-conference girl/boy doubleheader in the middle school gym in Jefferson.

Girls’ coach Tyler Westhoff makes his head coaching debut when the Rams host the 1-0 Bulldogs.Ogden began their season last week with a 41-38 road win vs. Southeast Valley (Cowrie). The Rams were 5-16 last season and return a combined 11 points from that team and letter winners in juniors Izzy Bravard, Bailey Cunningham, and Kassie Lamoureux return.

Both boys’ teams open their seasons tonight and both return high scoring  seniors. The Rams were 12-11 with three letter winners back. Senior Trey Hinote averaged 16.9 points per game last season with Lance Hughes 9.4. Junior Carter Morton averaged just under five points per game. Ogden seniors Ben Heeren (17.3) and Kayden Kruse (11.2) are the top scorers back from the 10-14 team of a season ago.
