The start of the 2018-19 high school girls’ basketball season for the Greene County Rams began with a 48-27 home loss to Ogden on Monday night in the middle school gym in Jefferson. The Bulldogs improved to 2-0 on the season by taking control early. Ogden broke a 2-2 tie with a 10-0 run and never looked back. After leading 21-5 after one quarter, Ogden eventually built the lead to 26 points in the fourth quarter.
Meredith Adreon scored 11 of her game-high 16 points in the first period to lead Ogden. Gabby Ross added 13 points.
The Rams were led by Brianna Osterson with six points off the bench in her first varsity game. Bailey Cunningham and Madison Hayes each added five points. Hayes played her first varsity game as well.
Greene County plays in Perry tonight on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage begins at 5:45 p.m.with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow.
