The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department has some fun and free activities happening later this week for youngsters while winter break is going on.
From 10am to 3pm Thursday through Saturday, kids from 8 to 13-years-old can enjoy some free games and other activities at the Greene County Community Center. There will be coloring, snowflake crafts, scooters, basketball, rockwall climbing and other activities. Everything is free for community center members and non-members can just donate one non-perishable food item.
As a reminder, the annual food drive admission program is going on now at the community center. Anyone can donate one non-perishable food item until January 6th and use the community center for free. All food items will be given to the Greene County Action Resource Center (ARC).
