Monday, December 24th

3:50 a.m.: An officer checked on the business at 106 West Washington Street, Suite 3 after an Alarm Activation. A keyholder was contacted and arrived a short time later. All was fine at the business.
9:11 a.m.: A Traffic Stop was performed at 220th and Mulberry Streets resulting in Paige Cavanaugh of Storm Lake being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
11:45 a.m.: A DHS Case Worker requested information from an officer to locate a female in Jefferson.
2:48 p.m.: Oly’s Corner reported an Assault occurring outside the business at 208 West Lincoln Way Street. The officer’s investigation has led to the request for Arrest Warrants for Rickie Eugene Tuhn, 57 of Grand Junction for, “Assault – Simple and Disorderly Conduct – Simple.”
3:20 p.m.: Tonya Sims advised her friends Facebook account had been hacked recently. Sims had received a message, which appeared to be from the friend, advising her to call a phone number as she had won a prize. Sims called the number and it requested information from her to win the prize. She did not give out any information and did not incur a loss.
9:03 p.m.: Melanie Perrin advised of a Suspicious Vehicle in the 1200 Block of Westwood Drive. The officer located the vehicle and spoke to the subjects. It was group driving town looking at X-Mas lights.

Tuesday, December 25th
2:33 a.m.: April Koller reported someone was ringing her doorbell at 207 South Chestnut Street. The officer spoke to a male in the area, who advised he was trying to get a ride to the gas station to purchase cigarettes. The officer advised the male to go home.
5:23 a.m.: A Carroll PD Officer requested assistance from an officer in contacting a male Jefferson resident. The male had been involved in a Civil Dispute in Carroll. The officer checked the last known address for the male and learned he recently moved from Jefferson.
11:31 a.m.: Jim Nelson advised of the odor of natural gas in the 200 Block of South West Street. The officer checked the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.
3:01 p.m.: An officer investigated a Backing Accident in the parking lot at 208 West Lincoln Way Street. A 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse, owned and operated by Dalton Weber of Jefferson, attempted to back up from the carwash entrance. Weber advised he did not see the vehicle behind him in line and backed into the front of it. The 2015 Chrysler 33 was owned and operated by Kirsten Carman of Jefferson. Both vehicles had a reported $500.00 in damages. No citation issued as it occurred on private property.
3:27 p.m.: A caller advised of a burn barrel causing a foul smell in the 100 Block of East Central Ave. The officer spoke to the occupants at Lot 66 and advised them that they can only burn yard waste, per ordinance. The fire was extinguished.
