Wednesday, December 26th
9:14 a.m.: Steve Hack reported the Theft of an electric meter from 808 West Monroe Street.
11:49 a.m.: Melinda Millard reported receiving inappropriate picture messages on her cell phone from a male in Marshall County. The officer is investigating.
1:32 p.m.: Tabitha Kendall spoke with an officer about a Civil Issue involving the purchase of a puppy on Facebook. The officer advised her to seek an attorney.
3:02 p.m.: Doreen Tuhn requested a Welfare Check on subjects at 706 West South Street, as she had not seen anyone there for several days. The officer made contact with the subject by phone and learned he is out of town for the holidays.
3:22 p.m.: An officer assisted Greene County EMS with a Medical Call in the 600 Block of West Park Street.
5:58 p.m.: Caitlin Bride reported a stray dog at 303 north Pinet Street. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility.
10:13 p.m.: An officer was requested at 701 North Cedar Street, lot 28, for an intoxicated male. It was reported he was becoming violent. The officer arrived and spoke to the male outside the residence. A short struggle ensued as the officer placed the male into custody. While in transport to the jail, the male repeatedly struck his head on the vehicle’s back cage, causing a small cut to his forehead. At the jail the subject continued to be physical and defiant as the officer and a deputy placed him in the jail. The subject injured his head again by banging his head on the jail door. EMS was called to the jail to treat the male for his injuries. Michael Allen Olson, 57 of Jefferson was charged with, “Public Intoxication – Simple, Disorderly Conduct – Simple, Assault on Officers – Serious, and Interference with Official Acts- Serious.”
