The public can take advantage of two events today and tomorrow at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson.

Anyone can use the community center for free today and tomorrow. Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department Director Vicky Lautner says it’s the annual free weekend where people can use anything in the facility such as the racquetball court, the gym, exercise and weightlifting equipment, indoor walking track and other items at no charge.

This weekend is the final two days of the annual food drive at the community center. Anyone can drop off a non-perishable food item that will be given to the Greene County Action Resource Center (ARC). Lautner encourages everyone to participate in the food drive and use the community center for free this weekend.
