Guthrie County Extension and Outreach is hosting a new program for women beef producers.

Registration is open for Boots in the Barn: a four-part series designed to teach women about the basics of beef herd management. Topics to be covered include: health, nutrition, pasture management, calving, financial management, and feedyard management. The main objective is to provide an open atmosphere for women to learn and ask questions of Extension’s experts. Boots in the Barn will take place February 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Extension office. Registration is required and cost is $25 to attend. If you have questions or wish to register, contact Program Coordinator Krista Downing at 641-747-2276 or kristad@iastate.edu.
