Perry City Council 8-6

The Perry City Council will convene Monday evening for the first time in 2019.

The meeting will begin with open forum, where Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks will give an update on the Perry Community School District’s industrial technology building and wrestling/multipurpose room project. In old business, the Council will consider awarding the sale of $2.3 million in general obligation airport improvement bonds for the runway expansion and new hangar project at the Perry Municipal Airport. Following that, they will consider the third pay request for the amount of $5,718.13 to Central States Roofing, for phase two of the McCreary Community Building roof project.

In new business, the Council will make appointments for the Central Iowa Regional Transportation Planning Alliance. Assistant Public Works Director Josh Wuebker will once again serve as Perry’s representative, with City Administrator Sven Peterson and City Engineer Matt Ferrier serving as alternates. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Clarion Room at Perry City Hall.
