Eight varsity wrestlers from Panorama Community Schools took part in Saturday’s Crusader Invitational hosted by Coon Rapids-Bayard Community Schools. Half of the Panther grapplers made it the finals of their weight class with sophomore Wyatt Appleseth (145) winning his bracket. Appleseth tallied a technical fall and two first period pinfall victories to earn the top spot on the podium. His overall record improved to 22-1 over the weekend. Logan Christe (113), Noah Kirtley (152), Hunter Holmes (285) all finished runner-up in their weight divisions. The dual season resumes Thursday for Panorama, traveling for a quadrangular event against East Union, Martensdale-St Marys, and Southwest Valley. First matches are set for 5:30 p.m. at Martensdale-St Marys High School.
