(Updated 10:35 a.m.) The last conference dual of the winter took the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity wrestling team to Polk County Thursday night. The Tigers squared off against Raccoon River Conference members Bondurant-Farrar and Carroll last night at Bondurant-Farrar High School. ADM returned to Adel with one team win under their belt. ADM scored on five pinfalls, one decision win, and a win by forfeit to edge Carroll in a battle of Tigers, 39-38. ADM trailed by five points entering the final match at 220 pounds. Junior Kaden Sutton’s first period pinfall helped ADM score six points in the last grapple to pull out the victory. ADM registered points on three pinfalls, a decision win, and one victory by forfeit in a 42-28 loss to the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays. Senior Hogan Hopewell (132), senior Nolan Harsh (182), and Sutton came away with pinfall victories in both duals last night. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network has learned the Ed Winger Invitational tournament the ADM Tigers were set to compete in this weekend has been cancelled due to the weather. The Tiger varsity wrestling team will continue their dual season next Thursday in a road nonconference triangular between Van Meter/Earlham and PCM. First match starts at 6 p.m. from Van Meter High School.
