Do you want to build a snowman? With a great deal of snow now on the ground, Adel residents are encouraged to show off their creativity for a family-friendly contest.

The Adel Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a snowman contest from now until March 8th. People can build a snowman in any Adel park and snap a picture of their work. They can then submit that photo for a chance to win a free family-sized pizza. Participants can get as creative as they would like, but are reminded to keep the snow creations family-friendly. There is no cost to enter, and photos can be submitted by email to Adel Parks and Rec Director Nick Schenck at NSchenck@adeliowa.org.
