Pet owners in Perry are reminded that they have until the end of this month to get their pet licenses.
Anyone living within Perry City limits who has cats or dogs over six-months-old must obtain or renew their license before January 31st. The cost for a license is $5 per animal if they’ve been spayed or neutered, or $20 for each un-altered animal. You can still register your pets after February 1st, but you will have to pay a $5 late fee. In addition to the licenses, Perry residents are reminded they can purchase permits for the Perry Dog Park at any time during the year. The fee is $20 for a year pass for the first dog, and $10 for each additional dog, up to a maximum of three. Day passes are also available for $2 per dog. You must have a current pet license to get a dog park permit.
You can obtain pet licenses and dog park permits at the McCreary Community Building during normal operating hours, and you must provide proof of rabies vaccinations and alteration records if applicable. Anyone with questions can reach out to Perry City Hall at 515-465-5621.
