The 42nd annual Bike Ride to Rippey, or BRR Ride, is nearly here, and the Perry Chamber of Commerce has some entertainment planned to expand the popular event.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says they’ll be having concerts before and after the ride, which she hopes will keep riders in town longer. “This is a really big event for us at the Chamber with it being our fundraiser, it brings potentially, you know hundreds, maybe thousands of people to Perry. So really to build up that offering that it’s not just the ride. With bringing that many people in, (we’re) wanting to offer something to attract them as well (and) keep them here. But then also celebrating kind of the new year and kicking off a new year, and encouraging locals to partake as well.”
On Friday, February 1st, the Chamber is hosting the band Stranger Than Fiction at La Poste from 7-10 p.m. There will also be a pasta bar provided by Harvey’s at Hotel Pattee. On the day of the ride, Saturday, February 2nd, Lil Red and the Medicated Moose Band will perform from 2-6 p.m. at Hotel Pattee. The concerts are free to anyone who signed up for BRR, and for others there will be a $10 cover charge.
