Greene County High School has qualified one group for the Iowa High School Speech Association All-State Festival.

Speech Coach Kelley Gray says Radio Broadcasting qualified for all-state as a performing entry with their group “97.7 KOOB.” Those students that are moving onto all-state include: Arthur Bardole, Kassie Lamoureux, Ashlee Harmeyer and Justice Phillips. Not only did they receive three Division I-ratings as last weekend’s state contest, they also earned the judge’s nomination for all-state.

The other state entries that Greene County had that received an overall Division I-rating but did not make it to all-state were One-Act Play and Group Improv. Choral Reading and Readers Theater each earned an overall Division II-rating at state. Paton-Churdan sent one group, Musical Theater, to state and those students received an overall Division II-rating.

The all-state festival will be on February 16th at the Iowa State Center in Ames.
